To achieve high image quality, the image sensor and image processing engine and lenses must all be high performance component.
The E-420 uses a 10 Megapixel Live MOS image sensor, the TruePic III image processing engine, as well as a Four Thirds system standard for lenses, allowing for high resolution imaging in a small package by using the various standard and zoom lenses available.
